Important letter for parents and carers following the announcement this evening – Monday 4th January 2021

4 January 2021

Dear Parents/Carers

You will have seen, I am sure, the message this evening from the Prime Minister. He has announced a full nationwide lockdown, and as part of this; all schools will be closed from tomorrow(Tuesday 5thJanuary) with the exception of Key Worker children and those students that have been identified as requiring additional support.

Currently it appears that schools will be closed until at least the February half term.

I am extremely sorry that this information is coming to you so late in the day!

Your child will continue to be provided with high quality remote learning, either live lessons or online tasks as we have shared with you previously.

All relevant access and support for your child to access online learning is on our website –

This follows the same format as we did in the first lockdown and in addition all our year 7 students have been instructed on how to access online learning in the event of this happening.

As before, we really appreciate your help in supporting your child to do as much work as they can at home to ensure that they continue with their learning.

Teachers and staff will all continue to work extremely hard during this time, preparing and responding to students’ work, and contacting you and your child regularly to make sure that we keep in close touch with you.

If you have any queries or concerns during this time, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we will do our very best to help.

Please look after yourselves and stay safe.

Yours sincerely
