The PruGOals programme uses Prudential Ride London to empower young people to achieve their goals. The programme focusses on raising aspirations and increasing self-esteem. The core programme will take riders on a journey through the year, and culminates in taking on the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 46 Miles.
Throughout the programme students will take part in two workshops that will take place at Sheffield University. The first will take place on Tuesday 23rd January and the second will be on Wednesday 21st March. The workshops will provide practical, tangible support to help prepare and mentor the students for the 46 mile cycle. Furthermore, the focus will be on personal motivation and life skills including, well being, confidence and employability. These workshops will also include coaching sessions from motivational speakers and inspiring role models.
The PruGOals initiative works in partnership with a range of charities including TeachFirst, Dame Kelly Holmes Trust and Transformation Trust. This is a fantastic and very challenging opportunity for our students and we are very excited to be a part of it. Furthermore students will get to stay at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic park in London the night before the cycle, this will get students prepared and excited about the challenge ahead.
