Only last year, Cockshut Hill became the first school across the Ninestiles trust to achieve the silver UNICEF award. Cockshut Hill’s newly recruited and old UNICEF ambassadors set out to achieve the glorious gold award and have high ambitions of becoming the first Secondary in Birmingham to achieve this triumphant award.
The UNICEF ambassadors have been split tactically to tackle each task. The tasks include: Charity Work, which is currently supporting Children in Need; Primary Liaison, working with the local primary schools; Overseas links, where the ambassadors will have pen pals on the other side of the world in New Zealand, China and potentially the Middle East; British Values Promotion, presently making posters and launching in assemblies this week and finally Branding which have been set to choose the article of the month based on current news in that month and making online blogs, which you’re reading right now.
Hopefully Cockshut Hill can achieve this goal and be the best Rights Respecting School in Birmingham.
